A wonderful and very talented friend and author, Sheri Fredricks, won First Place in Fantasy Romance in the 2012 Paranormal Romance Guild's Reviewer's Choice Awards.
For a limited time, Remedy Maker is only $3.99 on Amazon. Pop on over and pick up your copy if you haven't already.
By the way, I'm patiently waiting for Aleksander's book. :)
Feel free to stop by and congratulate Sheri. She loves to hear from readers. :)
I've started off the year by reading two books I've thoroughly enjoyed.
Lastly, I'm nearly done with my own book. Woohoo!! AND, I still have hair left on my head. It's amazing.
I refrained from New Years' Resolutions. I mean, really? What's the point? I'll just break them immediately.
Hmm so I suppose we should start the new year right. I'll offer (2) $5.00 Amazon gift card to two commenters who included their email. We all know the drill by now. Tell me if you have any big plans for the year. Any exciting, new developments? I'll pick two of you lovelies on Wednesday.

My big plan is to finish the second book in my Centaur series and get it published. In my head, I have the third book in the planning stage...and maybe the fourth. Hehehe. I'm happy to kick back and see who wins your awesome gift cards! Thanks for the shout-out! I appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteThird and Fourth books, eh?? Do tell, Sheri! :)
DeleteCongrats to Sheri!
ReplyDeleteAnd, Melissa, I'm glad you have hair left on your head! Now you don't need a wig, lol. Can't wait to read all of Reckless Love

ReplyDeleteAnd Melissa, congratulations on finishing your book. That is a huge accomplishment. Please, give yourself a well deserved pat on the back. Do you realize what you have done? You've WRITTEN A BOOK!!!!!
When I get to that last edit, then I think I might actually get the "finished" sensation. Although, with each new chapter out of the way, I do get a tingle of excitement.
DeleteSo glad you stopped by, Brenda. And I hope to read more of Prophecy's Child this year!
I agree with Brenda. Pat your back and celebrate, Melissa! And thank you, Brenda. I couldn't have done it without you.
DeleteSuper congrats to Sheri.

That sounds like a wonderful plan to me, Miki. You have to take care of yourself. Life is far too short. Glad you stopped by. :)
DeleteCongrats to Sheri...she's awesome! And congrats to you too Melissa for finishing your book :)
ReplyDeletePlans for the year..hmmm...I don't make resolutions either, more of a goal girl I guess. My goal is to write and submit at least 2 books...3 would be way cooler. I also have a book coming out in April with Entangled Publishing titled Bachelor's Special...and I can't wait! Other than that I'd like to take a cooking class to expand my kitchen knowledge. I think it'd be fun...and a stained art class. So we'll see if these happen!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Christine.warner@yahoo.com
You are a busy lady, Christine! Big congrats on your release with Entangled. Cooking class, eh? I'll be happy to share lots of recipes with you if you ever need something different to cook. It's one of my hobbies. A stained art class sound fun. They're so pretty.
DeleteMy big plans are to read at least 150 books, help my daughter read better, and have a wonderful time on our trip to Europe.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Theresa.Esterline@gmail.com
A trip to Europe?! How exciting. You daughter will love that.
DeleteHow super to almost be finished with your book. What a great accomplishment for 2013. I also refrained from making New Year's resolutions. I NEVER complete them and always feel crappy at the end of the year when I go to revisit them. I did see a GREAT idea online though. Get a mason jar or large glass, and whenever anything good happens throughout the year, you make a note, fold it up and put it in the glass. You then revisit it at the end of the year. I am such a procrastinator I haven't even started it. But, thought it was great idea nonetheless! The only big thing for the year so far is the boyfriend and his brother in law opened an auction house. They found an investor so that is a very exciting start. We had our first auction yesterday and it was pretty darn good all things considering. I am hoping for him, that it takes off and is very successful!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year,
Marlena

That's an awesome idea with the mason jar. Ha, I can understand about the procrastination though. :)
DeleteHurray on the new auction house. I wish him and your brother in law tons of success with it!
Thanks for stopping by, Marlena. :)
I would like to read Remedy Maker. the cover alone is sexy.
ReplyDeleteMy goals are diet and exercise. Thanks for the giveaway.
r.d1@myfairpoint.net
Thanks for stopping by, Renald. Remedy Maker was an awesome read. I hope you'll give it a try. Personally, I'm waiting on Sheri to finish Aleksander's book. :)
DeleteIts such a great accomplishment to finish a book. Congratulations Melissa! I refrain rom calling them resolutions, just things I would like to accomplish! I would love to be able to finish the books I have planned in my series, or at least get started on them. I first need to hone my craft and do what I can to become a better writer.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nancy! Still working on those last edits. I understand about the craft honing. I don't think you ever stop that. Ha, I'm constantly learning something new every day. I wish you lots of success writing yours. Of course, you know I'll be sure to read your books when you do release them. :) Thanks for stopping by, chickie.
